Pavia Jazz Orchestra nasce nel 2003 da un'idea di Claudio Perelli ed Andrès Villani.
Il programma musicale della Band è una fusione tra Jazz e Canzone Italiana del dopoguerra. Gli arrangiamenti dei brani pongono particolare attenzione alla Melodia, ancora oggi emblema della Musica Popolare Italiana.
Tra il 2004 ed il 2009 la Band si è esibita con successo in India, Marocco, Argentina, Uruguay, Croazia e Finlandia in collaborazione con gli Istituti di Cultura Italiana presso le Ambasciate d'Italia locali.

Tunes arrangements are made with a particular attention to the Melody, stem of Italian Popular Music. From 2004 to 2009 Pavia Jazz Orchestra successfully performed in India, Morocco, Argentina, Uruguay, Croatia and Finland co-operating with the Istituti di Cultura Italiana of the local Italian Embassies.
In 2010 and 2011 the Band played on a tour in the most important theatres in Italy.
